Summer has a way of making everything feel more intentional.
The days stretch longer. The pace, ideally, slows a little. And the rituals that carry us through the colder months, the warm cup before bed, the quiet morning brew, start to shift into something new.
This August, we want to introduce you to one of our favourite warm-weather rituals: cold-steeped Kebaonish tea. It is simple, genuinely beautiful, and one of the best ways to stay hydrated while still doing something that feels like real self-care.
Why Cold Steep?
Most people know how to make hot tea. Fewer know that some of the most flavourful, complex cups come from cold water and patience.
Cold steeping is exactly what it sounds like: placing your tea sachet in cold or room-temperature water and letting it steep slowly in the fridge for several hours or overnight. No boiling required. The result is a cup that is smoother, less bitter, and surprisingly complex. Cold water draws out different compounds than hot water does, which means flavours that might be sharp or astringent when brewed hot become rounded, bright, and refreshing.
It is also one of the easiest things you can do. You put the sachet in, you go to sleep, and in the morning, you have something extraordinary waiting for you.
Our Favourite Kebaonish Iced Tea Pairings
Not every tea cold steeps the same way, and part of the joy is experimenting. Here are our top picks from the Kebaonish collection for summer sipping.
Harmony Hibiscus Spice (Love Tea) — Iced
This one was practically made for summer. The Harmony Hibiscus Spice Tea brews into a stunning deep crimson that looks as good in a glass as it tastes. Cold steeped, the tart hibiscus softens beautifully, letting the cinnamon warmth and natural sweetness from chicory and licorice root come forward. Serve over ice with a slice of orange or a few fresh berries, and you have something that feels genuinely celebratory.
The Love Tea is also one of our best for gut health, with hibiscus reducing inflammation, chicory feeding beneficial gut bacteria, and licorice root soothing the digestive system. Hydrating and nourishing at the same time.
Cold steep tip: 8-12 hours in the fridge. Serve over ice with a sprig of fresh mint.
Citrus Sunset Rooibos (Honesty Tea) — Iced
The Citrus Sunset Rooibos is a warm-weather dream: caffeine-free, naturally sweet, and loaded with antioxidants from rooibos and vitamin C from orange peel. Cold steeped, the amber colour deepens and the citrus notes become bracingly bright. It is the kind of iced tea that tastes like it took a lot of effort but requires almost none.
Rooibos is one of the most antioxidant-rich plants in the world, and orange peel supports immune health and skin. This is the tea to reach for on long, sunny afternoons.
Cold steep tip: 6-8 hours in the fridge. Squeeze in a little fresh lemon before serving for extra brightness.

Humility Chamomile Valerian (Humility Tea) — Iced
This one surprises people. The Humility Tea cold steeps into a pale, golden cup with delicate hints of green apple, citrus, and a clean mint finish. It is light, floral, and deeply calming, which makes it a genuinely useful evening drink when the summer heat makes sleep harder to come by. Valerian is one of the most effective natural sleep supports available, and chamomile takes the edge off the day. Iced, with a little honey if you like sweetness, it is a lovely way to wind down.
Cold steep tip: 8 hours in the fridge. Serve chilled with a slice of lemon and a drizzle of honey.

Making It a Ritual
There is a difference between grabbing a drink and making one.
At Kebaonish, our teas are rooted in the Seven Grandfather Teachings — each blend carries a teaching and an intention. When you take a moment to prepare an iced tea the night before, to choose a blend based on what your body needs tomorrow, to pour it into a beautiful glass and actually sit with it, that is a ritual. It is a small act of care that connects you to something larger than the heat and the rush of the day.
You do not need much. A sachet. A jar or pitcher. Cold water. And a little patience.
That is enough.
